Read the checkpoints below

Every route remains available here: first Jester, promotions, awakening, factions and permanent upgrades.

First Jester or your next promotion?

Do you already have Jester?
Looking for the first one

Check symbol access, opportunities and alignment.

Already in your army

Check Trickster or Ferret Tamer in Class Promotion.

Your current unit state decides which task to work on.

Joker Seed is the access effect in the recorded first-Jester setup. Torn Note adds a scheduled hat opportunity; placement help such as Rebound Axis concerns the alignment after symbols can appear.

If you are not sure whether you have Jester, read the unit name first. An unknown state is a reason to check, rather than a missing-unlock diagnosis.

Match the unit to its next branch

Jester
Ferret Tamer
Ringmaster
Jester
Trickster
Illusionist
The Ferret Tamer → Ringmaster route is observed in Dabble’s playthrough. Trickster → Illusionist is Dastu’s report.

For the separate Prism Slayer route, plum reports Dullahan or White Knight, then Dullahan → Phantom in one run. Read your current unit’s own progress and promotion panel for paths beyond these reports.

Read level and awakening state together

30Awakening I
60Awakening II
100Awakening III
Dabble’s stated checkpoints. Ringmaster’s choices appear after crossing each one; other units need their own awakening options checked.

For Ringmaster, use the next checkpoint after the highest awakening already chosen: I at 30, II at 60, III at 100. Reaching level 61 after a conversion does not make 61 a new threshold.

High Elf’s first requirement is visible at 30; later High Elf choices are not established by Ringmaster’s panels. For Phantom, one player saw no awakening in one run, so inspect its own options rather than applying Ringmaster’s sequence.

Check the faction meta upgrade

If you have not bought it: inspect the lower part of the permanent upgrade tree for the faction-related unlock.

If you have bought it: tadsen says the choices should appear at the first promotion. The developer confirms the meta-upgrade system.

If you are not sure: check the purchase state before treating a missing option as a fault.

Advanced Research

Check it when the problem is advanced units not appearing.

Command Limit

Check it when you have units you cannot fit into the army.

Inaqea describes these as different upgrades. The report does not establish a required order between them.
